4 College Kids Try To Steal Chili’s Restaurant Giant Pepper

“Police say they caught four people trying to pull off an unusual heist early Sunday morning.

The alleged thieves were trying to steal the giant pepper off the roof of Chili’s restaurant in Bennington. Police say they ran an extension cord across Route 67 to power an electric drill, which they used to detach the sign from the top of the building.

Police say the alleged thieves succeeded in detaching the $8,000 sign when officers arrived. Twenty-two-year old Susan Michet and 23-year-old Asher Woodworth, both of North Bennington, along with two people from Massachusetts were all cited for grand larceny.”

The alleged thieves weren’t hardened criminals, they were college kids trying to pull off a ridiculous stunt.

The police didn’t treat their theft as a harmless prank, they were charged with grand larceny. That conviction will do wonders for them when they graduate and try to find a job.

Asher hoped to become the Big Man on Campus when he came back to his dorm with the giant pepper. Instead he will be the laughingstock and punching bag in the local jail.

These four idiots ran an extension cord across a busy highway, they could have caused a traffic accident. I hope the judge throws the book at these fools.
