“In the world of intercollegiate Ultimate Frisbee, it’s ultimately not cool to go without pants. So said a student board that governs club sports at the University of Oregon when it ended a highly-ranked team’s season after five players shed their pants and underwear April 11 during sectional play at Oregon State University in Corvallis.

A Frisbee is a symbol of the carefree attitude of the youth, you will rarely see a picnic where teens are tossing a Frisbee.
When I was a small child my parents would take sightseeing to Haight Ashbury, and it wasn’t unusual to see hippies playing with a Frisbee.
I don’t expect a college Frisbee team to wear neatly pressed uniforms, but going commando is a bit too far. You have to wear a uniform, or at least a T-Shirt and shorts.
I’m surprised that there’s a collegiate Frisbee league, that runs contrary to the freedom and anarchy symbolized by a Frisbee. An organized Frisbee league is anathema to a Frisbee aficionado, there should be no rules associated with playing Frisbee.
I’m glad the GEO’s season has come to an untimely end, and I’ll be happier when the Frisbee league is disbanded.
