Deputy Arrests Couple For DUI

“Marion County Deputy Ryan Clarke pulled over a driver at Lancaster Drive and Santiam Pass Way NE.

 

Clarke suspected that the driver, Diane McCaslin, 59, was driving while intoxicated, said Marion County Sheriff’s Lt. Sheila Lorance.

 

A second car pulled up while the deputy was conducting a sobriety test, and Donald Ramsey, 66, stepped out of the car.”

 

 

The gentleman who stepped out of the car was McCaslin’s boyfriend, and he was also arrested for driving under the influence.

 

It’s tragic and pathetic when you witness elderly people who drink to excess or take illicit drugs. If a young person indulges in drugs, he is counseled to turn over a new leaf , and live the rest of his life sober. But what do you tell a 66-year-old alcoholic? Hey pops, you with the bloodshot eyes and the trembling hands, why don’t you give up the booze so you can enjoy the few months you have left.

 

This elderly couple needs to break up, two alcoholics living together will never stop drinking.

 

They have no business driving a car; I wouldn’t trust even trust them with a Hoveround.
