Drunk Dude Steals Ambulance

“Authorities in Lawrence early Sunday arrested a 21-year-old man who they say stole an ambulance and led police on a low-speed chase through town.

 

Lawrence Police Sergeant Susan Hadl tells the ‘Lawrence Journal-World’ the ambulance crew were responding to a medical emergency when an intoxicated man with no other means of getting home got into the vehicle and drove away.”

 

 

It’s not surprising if an intoxicated man ends up riding in an ambulance, but it’s quite unusual to see one behind the wheel.

 

The drunkard should have stolen a somewhat less conspicuous vehicle if wanted to evade the attention of the police.

 

Drunkenness and stupidity is a combination that usually ends with the inebriated person behind bars. It may be a few days before the intoxicated dude finally makes it home.

 

Lesson of this story: If you are soused don’t steal an ambulance, call a cab or a friend to take you home.
