Ringo Starr was the 2,401st celebrity added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Monday Evening. The ceremony was held outside the Capitol Records building, The Beatles` label here in the states. “It`s cool to get one at night,” said Starr. “I don`t know about you, but where I live, the stars come out at night.” (Yahoo! News)

George and John each have a star, but Paul has yet to receive one. Ringo certainly has had a sterling career though. Drumming for The Beatles is, of course, his number one claim to fame. His signature drum parts on Beatle songs are highly original. And he has appeared in countless films that tend to showcase his superb acting ability. My favorites are: The Magic Christian, Candy, Caveman and don`t forget, 200 Motels!

Ringo continues to drum and tour with Ringo Starr & His All-Star Band. His latest record is Y Not, which I deeply regret admitting, have yet to hear. My fave of his solo albums is the 1973 Ringo. He`s had some memorable solo hits also, like It Don`t Come Easy, Photograph, You`re Sixteen and the No No Song. He met his wife, actress Barbara Bach, on the set of Caveman (1980). Ringo was the first Geico Caveman, don`t you think?
