ABC makes plans to invade the 2009 television season, as the network already renewed Grey’s and spinoff Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, and Lost. Also making the list are Castle, Ugly Betty, Better Off Ted, and Scrubs with Zach Braff — for at least six episodes.
Coming this fall is Eastwick with Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jamie Ray Newman — adapted from the 1987 film The Witches of Eastwick, Flash Forward with Ralph Fiennes. In midseason is V, with Elizabeth Mitchell in the revision of the classic 80s miniseries about alien oppression and the human resistance. But don’t expect Lost‘s Juliet to be dead, as ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson told TV Guide that the actress may return for the final season while shooting V.
Sadly, Samantha Who? is one of the shows that has been given the pink slip, along with Life on Mars, Cupid and The Unusuals.
