Advertisers Boycotting Glenn Beck’s Program

“In what is shaping up to be one of the more effective boycott campaigns in years, advertisers are abandoning the ‘Glenn Beck’ show on Fox News following the host’s incendiary comments that President Barack Obama is a ‘racist’ and has a ‘deep-seated hatred for white people.’Marketwatch

Among the advertisers to pull spots from the popular cable talk show are Geico, Procter & Gamble and Progressive Insurance.”

Companies have a right, and indeed a responsibility to their stockholders, to withdraw their ads from a program that may damage their credibility or reputation.
Kudos to  Geico, Proctor & Gamble and Progressive Insurance for pulling their ads, had they not done so it would have been a tacit approval of Glenn’s hateful and divisive rhetoric.

Fox News has carved out a successful niche pandering to the lunatic right. Beck is not an aberration, the cable Fox News has a stable of right-wing commentators (blowhards) like Sean Hannity.
Beck is the biggest crybaby in the entertainment business, he gets misty-eyed at the drop of a hat. Maybe Murine eye drops can pick up the slack, and advertise on his show.

Do you agree with the boycott of Glen Beck’s program? Leave a comment!
