“Turn Off Your Mind Relax And Float Down Stream”…The Beatles` Remasters Exceed Expectations!

Well I have two of the remastered Beatles` records so far, Rubber Soul & Revolver. It`s a miracle of reanimation. The sound is so clear that you feel like you are in the Abbey Road Studio while they are recording. I think of it as a dentist cleaning off plack or tartar from your teeth, brand spankin` new set of teeth. Ringo`s drums are much more up front, and Paul`s bass part is clearer in the mix. My fave on Rubber Soul for now is Think For Yourself with its fuzz guitar. The extra photos are great; never seen most of them. Havin` trouble playin` the documentary, so far?
The liner notes have helpful information. An example is that the Revolver recordings utilized four-track technology and the technique of track bouncing in order to free up tracks for more instruments. Revolver is a breakthrough record for The Beatles, with the arty cover done by Klaus Voormann, and with the variety of songs, where George Harrison projects a wider role in the band. Taxman shines through with one of the best guitar leads in Rock History. Tomorrow Never Knows is as much of a revelation today as it was in 1966 (with backwards guitars, monk chants, & John`s voice comin` out of a Leslie speaker cabinet).
Okay, it`s over to the record shop again this weekend! Let`s see? I`ll get the first one, maybe, with John wailin` on Money…oh, need a coffee mug, a T-shirt, & playing cards…the puzzle would make a nice gift for my sisters` birthday? Hope they don`t run out…might be a riot!

UPDATE-9/12/`09 For their first two days of sales, Wednesday and Thursday, the remastered Beatles` albums have sold 235,000 units. Abbey Road is tops with 32,000 sales and Sergeant Pepper is second with 27,000 sold (New York Times).
I have added Please Please Me, there very first album, recorded in September of 1962. Also, I figured out how to view the mini-documentaries on my notebook (duhh…). Finally, I`m drinking out of my Abbey Road coffee mug this morning! Will take a pic for you to see…
